I'm not sure what this site's programers can do, but there are two things you can do.
You can open every one of the emails, even if you don't read them or click the topic to go the website. That tells your email program you read them and don't consider them spam.
If they get to the spam folder, click the check boxes, and then click "Not Spam". That corrects the email program's algorithm that makes it conclude you don't want those emails.
Give it a try, anyway. It works for me on Gmail, Safari mail, and Yahoo mail.
If a commercial site keeps sending me email i don't want, and the "unsubscribe" link doesn't work, i click "spam" enough time and they are relegated to the spam folder
